2013 Dollar General 300 Winner - Kyle Busch dominates to win at Chicagoland

Just when it appeared Kyle Busch couldn't be any stronger in a Nationwide Series race, he broke the record for most laps led on a 1.5-mile track in a Nationwide race in winning the Dollar General 300 race at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday.

Starting from the pole, Busch went on to lead 195 of the event's 200 laps, eclipsing the record of 194 laps led the late Dale Earnhardt set at Charlotte in 1986.

Busch holds the record for most Nationwide wins in a season, 13 in 2010.

Busch jumped out from the opening green flag and never looked back, widening his lead to seven-plus seconds at one point. No other drivers were able to mount a serious threat as Busch excelled in every aspect of the game, earning his fifth perfect driver rating of the season.

It was Busch's 61st career win in 264 career Nationwide Series starts, and his 123rd overall win across all three of NASCAR's top racing series.

2012 Dollar General 300 Winner - Stenhouse Jr. races to 5th Nationwide win of year

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. edged past Kyle Busch and into the lead, then held on for the final 20 laps for a relatively easy victory.

Perhaps more importantly, he left Elliott Sadler even farther behind - and took over the Nationwide Series points lead for the first time since the beginning of June.

Stenhouse raced to his fifth Nationwide victory of the year, outlasting Busch on Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway. Once Stenhouse passed Busch on the 180th lap, there wasn't much anyone could do to catch him. Stenhouse, the 2011 series champion, gave up the points lead to Sadler on June 2, but now he finally has it back.

Stenhouse has won two of the last four races - and finished second in the other two. He finished 2.402 seconds ahead of Busch. Austin Dillon was third, followed by Brad Keselowski and Paul Menard.

Sadler, who led Stenhouse by a point atop the standings coming into the race, finished eighth. Pole winner Joey Logano was another spot back in ninth.

It's Stenhouse's seventh win in 99 Nationwide starts. Busch, the career victory leader in this series, was trying for his 52nd victory. It would have also been his first win in the series for the team he owns. Busch and his brother, Kurt, have teamed up this year as co-drivers for Kyle Busch Motorsports on the Nationwide circuit, with Kurt Busch winning at Richmond.

Busch was pleased with his run Saturday, but he couldn't keep up with Stenhouse's No. 6 Ford.

2011 Dollar General 300 Winner - Keselowski Smokes Field For Chicagoland Win

Brad Keselowski turned Saturday's Dollar General 300 Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway into a Keselowski benefit.

Keselowski led by a calendar page or two late in the race and coasted to a solid victory as he and fellow Sprint Cup regular Carl Edwards controlled the high ground on the 1.5-mile track.

Keselowski, whose car showed strength in practice, scored his third Nationwide victory in an abbreviated season. It gives him a touch of momentum entering the first race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoffs at Chicagoland Sunday.

Keselowski finished eight seconds in front of Edwards, who had a strong day despite running low on fuel and needing a fuel booster from his pit crew.

Keselowski led 158 of the race's 200 laps and was basically in a zip code by himself for the final segment of the race.
