2015 Boyd Gaming 300 Winner - Austin Dillon wins Boyd Gaming 300

Dillon led 183 of the 200 laps at the 1.5-mile speedway, but Blaney had a tire advantage at the end of the race, thanks to a late pit stop after his car snapped loose and knocked Erik Jones into the outside wall at the exit from Turn 4.

After restarting fifth with 21 laps left, Blaney charged to the front, making up a deficit of more than 1.5 seconds and forcing Dillon to block him repeatedly during the last three laps. Blaney ran out of room in the final corner, his No. 22 Ford turning sideways and tagging the outside wall as Dillon crossed the finish line with an advantage of .664 seconds.

During the closing laps, winning crew chief Nick Harrison made a point of not telling Dillon that Blaney had fresh tires.

Chase Elliott came home fifth, followed by hometown favorite Brendan Gaughan, rookie Darrell Wallace Jr., Ty Dillon, Brennan Poole and Daniel Suarez. Ty Dillon, Aus

Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race consisted of 200 laps around the 1.5-mile track located in Las Vegas, Nevada for a total of 300 miles.

Ty Dillon started the race on the pole but quickly gave-way to Brad Keselowski. Kyle Busch began the race at the back of the fied and quickly began to work his way up to the front. Keselowski dealt with concerns about his battery late in the race but had enough to beat Busch to the checkered flag.

2013 Sam's Town 300 Winner - Sam Hornish Jr. clinches victory at Sam's Town 300

In just the third race of the season, Sam Hornish Jr. has proven that he still has the magic that made him the most dominant racer in the IZOD Indycar Series during the early 2000s. Saturday, Hornish cemented himself as a driver to watch when talking about NASCAR Nationwide Series title contenders.

Hornish Jr. had the dominant car all day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in a race that despite having long green flag runs, came down to a seven lap dash to the checkered flag. Whether it was the short or long run, Hornish proved today that the success he had found at Daytona and Phoenix was not a fluke.

Veteran crew chief Greg Irwin has proven to be a great leader for the 12 team, ushering in stability on top of the pit box that last year's crew chief Chad Walters just could not bring. In the seasons inaugural race at Daytona, Hornish lost the draft, but was close enough to miss the start/finish line wreck and finish second.

2012 Sam's Town 300 Winner - Stenhouse Dominating In Sam's Town 300 Win

Capitalizing on a late race charge, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove to a convincing win in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Sam's Town 300 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway over defending race winner Mark Martin.

Stenhouse Jr. and Martin proved to be the class of the field throughout the second half of the event with Martin leading the way for 44 laps before Stenhouse made his way around and into the lead for the final time in lap 146. A late race restart as the result of a caution flag for Jeremy Clements trip through the front stretch grass set up a final duel between the two with Stenhouse getting the jump on the veteran Martin, driving to a 5.904 second margin of victory.

Pole-sitter Elliott Sadler led early in the race but experienced problems with the splitter on the car and found himself deep in the field shortly after the halfway mark when the team elected to fix the issue on pit road under caution. Sadler sliced his way forward from there and drove his way to a solid third place finish.

2011 NNS Sam's Town 300 Race Results

Mark Martin capitalized on Brad Keselowski's misfortune of a blown tire on the final lap; as well as; being a little light footed for gas conservation, to win the NNS Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This was Martin's 1st series win of the 2011 season, his 49th series career win and his 4th series win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Also taking advantage of Keselowski's situation was Justin Allgaier to finish behind Martin (by 1.221 seconds) for second-place, while Keselowski was able to limp across the start/finish line for third.
