2013 5-Hour Energy 200 Winner - Logano dominates Dover Nationwide race, fails inspection

Joey Logano continued writing a wildly successful history at Dover International Speedway Saturday, winning his fourth consecutive Nationwide Series race at the fast 1-mile track, although his Ford failed post-race inspection.

Logano won the 5-Hour Energy 200 in a breeze, finishing 14.59 seconds in front of second-place Kyle Larson. Completing the top five were Kevin Harvick, Brian Vickers and Elliott Sadler.

After the victory lane celebration, NASCAR announced that the front end of Logano's Mustang measured too low on both sides in post-race inspection. Typically, such violations result in fines and/or point penalties, not in loss of the race win.

NASCAR said the car would be examined more closely at its Research and Development Center in Concord, N.C., early next week. Any penalties would follow.

Logano, a Sprint Cup regular driving for Penske Racing, became the first driver to win four consecutive races in any major NASCAR series at Dover.

2012 OneMain Financial 200 Winner - Logano dominates Dover

Joey Logano won his seventh Nationwide Series race of the season and 16th of his career when he took the checkered flag at Saturday's OneMain Financial 200 at Dover International Speedway. It was Logano's second win this year at the “Monster Mile,” making him the sixth driver in the Nationwide Series to sweep both Dover races; 2012 is also the third-straight year a driver has swept.

Logano, who qualified third in the #18 SportClips Toyota, led 184 of 200 laps in the event, giving Joe Gibbs Racing its 75th Nationwide Series win, just one week after collecting its 100th Cup Series win.

Brian Scott, in the #11 Dollar General Toyota, vaulted from 38th starting spot to a seventh-place finish at Dover, giving him his second top 10 finish at the track this year and the third of his career. Scott continues to hold ninth-place in Nationwide Series points.

2011 OneMain Financial 200 Winner - Carl Edwards cruised to a dominant win on the Monster Mile

Carl Edwards didn't take the lead of the OneMain Financial 200 Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway until the restart on lap 11 after a debris caution: but after that, he notched up 179 laps in front and was never under any threat.

Polesitter Elliott Sadler led the first ten laps, and Brad Keselowski had a couple of stints in the lead during pit stop sequences, but the winner of the 29th race of the 34-race season had never been in doubt.

Edwards finished 0.791s ahead of Keselowski at the end with fellow Cup regulars Clint Bowyer and Kasey Kayne taking the next positions. Edwards' Roush Fenway stablemates Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne were the highest-placed of those eligible for Nationwide championship points in fifth and sixth.
