Here at Bookmaker sportsbook we’re previewing King of the Cage: Night of Champions on March 5th, 2016 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California, featuring Chris Kirtley, Thor Skancke, Jesse Juarez and Sam Liera.

Jesse Juarez and Sam Liera will go head-to-head for the World Jr. Welterweight Championship at King of the Cage: Night of Champions on March 5th, 2016 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. It should be a close fight with Juarez possibly the favorite based on his body of work in MMA odds.

Welterweights Jesse Juarez and Sam Liera will face off in the co-main event at King of the Cage: Night of Champions. Juarez has a record of 23-10 in his career with six knockout wins and six submission victories. He went 1-1 in 2015, falling to Ricky Rainey by knockout in May before rebounding to defeat Frank Schuman by submission in the first round on October 17th. The 34-year-old has been up and down the last few years, with a record of 2-2 over the past two years. A win would be a nice way to kick off 2016.

Liera is 12-7 so far in his professional career, defeating seven opponents he has faced by knockout. He went 2-0 in 2015, defeating Preston Scharf by knockout in March and emerging with a decision win over John Palaiologos in August. Liera’s last loss was in October 2014 when he fell to Joshua Aveles by knockout in the second round. Liera has gone 4-4 since 2013.

Chris Kirtley comes into this event with a record of 8-5 and has captured six wins by knockout. Kirtley has gone 2-0 in his last pair of fights. He defeated Robert Hefel by technical knockout on August 15th to capture his most recent appearance in the octagon and also defeated Ivan Johnson by technical knockout last April. The California native has only lost once in his last six bouts, falling to Kaleo Kwan in September 2014.

Thor Skancke has a record of 8-6 and is riding a three-bout winning streak coming into this title fight. He has captured three wins by knockout in his career. In Skancke’s most recent bout on October 23rd, he defeated Nick Vanderpool by knockout in the first round. His last three victories have all come in the first round with additional wins over Jason Cordero and Daniel McWilliams last year. Skancke’s last loss was to Daniel McWilliams in October 2014. He has gone 7-3 in his last ten bouts.

Also on the schedule at KOTC: Night of Champions is the rematch between Daniel Madrid and Daniel Hernandez. Madrid defeated Hernandez in the first round by technical knockout in the pair’s first meeting on October 17th and will look for his sixth straight win in the rematch. Madrid is 12-4 coming into this bout. He also has recent wins over John Palaiologos and Melvin Costa. His last loss was in 2012. Hernandez has a record of 12-11 and will be eager to avenge his recent loss to Madrid in his rematch. The 34-year-old had won six in a row before his recent loss to Madrid with wins over Matt Gabel and Matt Lagler in 2015 in MMA odds.
