It’s going to be ladies night at the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino. The two headline fights are both women's title fights.
In the first fight, Brenda "Boom Boom" Gonzales will have it out with Pam "Bam" Sorenson for the interim flyweight division title.
Gonzales is 7-2 in her career and is making a return to KOTC after leaving the organization for four years. She was 4-0 in her KOTC career, winning three of her four fights by TKO and one by unanimous decision.
Sorenson is still a young fighter who has had mixed results in her career. She figures to be overmatched in this one, especially after going just 2-1 in her first three professional fights. In her last bout, Sorenson was beaten by Shanna Young via split decision in a five-round brawl which went the distance.
The championship in the Jr. Flyweight Division will be on the line at KOTC Natural Instinct as well. Heather "Handguns" Bassett will match wits with Nicco Montano.
Bassett is only 4-2 in her career, but she was able to pull off a big upset of Shaena Cox to put herself in a position to challenge for this vacant title. It's the first championship bout of Bassett's career, and it comes just outside of her hometown of Fond Du Lac.
Montano has only fought twice in her professional career, a win in November over Stacey Sigala and a loss to Sorenson at KOTC Frozen War in February. She's got a real opportunity here against Bassett to win a championship though, something that you don't see every day out of a fighter who only has been around for two bouts.
