Nicco Montano is 1-0 in her professional career so far and will look for her second straight win over Pam Sorenson. Montano made her professional debut last November, defeating Stacey Sigala at KOTC: Evolution in the first round by technical knockout. Before turning pro, Montano went 5-0 as an amateur, defeating three opponents by submission and two by knockout. The Colorado native has won every fight of her career— amateur and professional— in the first round. She has also captured wins over Allison Price, Leann Acosta, Roxanne Ceasear and Ruby Diaz as an amateur fighter. Montano will try to continue that dominance in her professional career.
Like Montano, Pam Sorenson is also undefeated so far in her professional career with a record of 1-0. In her latest bout, she defeated Moriel Charneski by decision on November 21st to capture her first win of her professional career. Sorenson went 2-0-1 as an amateur. She defeated Jeanette Pomales in a first-round submission last year in an amateur showdown over the summer. She also has a win over Amanda Rose-Wyatt which came in April 2014. In her amateur debut in November 2013, Sorenson fought to a draw against Fernanda Araujo. She will look to extend her recent winning streak in her second professional fight in MMA odds.
Also on the main card is the strawweight bout between Tabatha Shanks and Caitlin Giessen. Tabatha Shanks is 1-2 as a an amateur career and will be looking to rebound against Giessen. In her most recent appearance in the octagon on November 13th, Shanks fell to Jen Strazisar by submission in the fifth round. Her only win of her career came last April when Shanks defeated Maria Hammond in the third round by submission. Giessen is 1-1 as an amateur fighter. She defeated Miranda Parson by submission in the first round on October 24th. Before that, the South Dakota native fell to Brittany Viets last February, losing by decision.
