Vanes Martirosyan vs Erislandy Lara boxing futuresBoxing Betting Lines: If you're looking for the best advice for boxing wagering, you've certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook, we’re previewing the WBA and IBO light middleweight title fight between Vanes Martirosyan and Erislandy Lara on May 21st, 2016, at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Erislandy Lara has accumulated multiple light middleweight titles over his past few bouts and will aim to keep them following his upcoming bout. Lara will take on Vanes Martirosyan on May 21st, 2016, at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada. The WBO and IBO light middleweight bouts are on the line with Lara expected to come in as the favorite in boxing wagering.

Erislandy Lara is 22-2-2 with 13 knockouts in his career. Lara won the interim WBA light middleweight title with a 10th-round technical knockout of Alfredo Angulo on June 8th, 2013. Lara defended it in his ensuing fight against Austin Trout before fighting a catchweight bout against Saul Alvarez on July 12th, 2014. Lara lost that fight by split decision, but then bounced back when he returned to defending his championship belt. Lara defended it against Ishe Smith by unanimous decision on December 12th, 2014 and added the IBO title with a unanimous decision over Delvin Rodriguez six months later. In his most recent bout,  Lara defeated Jan Zaveck by third-round technical knockout to retain both titles and will put them on the line once again against Martirosyan.

Vanes Martirosyan is 36-2-1 in his career with 21 wins via knockout. He started 32-0, capturing the WBC silver middleweight championship belt over Saul Roman and retaining it against Troy Lowry. Martirosyan faced off against Lara on November 10th, 2012, and the two fought to a draw, which should give him confidence in this rematch. Martirosyan had a shot at the vacant WBO light middleweight championship on November 9th, 2013, but fell to Demetrius Andrade via split decision. He won a pair of subsequent bouts before falling once again to Jermall Charlo. Martirosyan bounced back in his most recent bout with a majority decision over Ishe Smith on September 12th, 2015

Lara has been impressive lately as he has accumulated a pair of major championship belts and defended them in subsequent bouts. Martirosyan has also found big-time success earlier in his career and showed he can hang with Lara in their first matchup.

Boxing Quick Pick: While Martirosyan has showed his capability, Lara has done better of late and proven himself against top-tier competition. Even though the first fight between these two was close, the pick here is for Lara to emerge with the victory to retain his WBA and IBO championship belts in boxing wagering.
