Ola Afolabi vs Marco Huck Boxing SpreadsBoxing Betting Lines: If you’re looking for the best advice for boxing wagering, you’ve certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook we’re previewing the IBO cruiserweight title fight between Marco Huck and Ola Afolabi on February 27th, 2016, at Gerry Weber Stadion in Halle, Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Ola Afolabi may currently hold the IBO cruiserweight championship belt, but an old foe will make it tough for him to keep it. Afolabi will face off against Marco Huck for the title on February 27th, 2016, at Gerry Weber Stadion in Halle, Nordrhein-Westfalen. While Afolabi is the current title-holder, Huck has beaten him a pair of times in the past and because of that should be favored in boxing wagering.

Marco Huck has a career record of 38-3-1 with 26 knockouts. He started with 19 straight wins as a professional to get a shot at the IBF cruiserweight title in 2007, but fell to Steve Cunningham by a 12th-round technical knockout. Huck won his next six bouts for a new title shot and this time came away victorious via unanimous decision over Victor Emilio Ramirez. He claimed the WBO cruiserweight title and then successfully defended it seven times, including his initial victory over Afolabi by unanimous decision on December 5th, 2009. Huck then took aim at the WBA heavyweight title, but fell short by majority decision against Alexander Povetkin. His second career fight against Afolabi ended in a draw on May 5th, 2012, but Huck kept the cruiserweight title as the defending champion. They fought for the third time about a year later and Huck emerged with a unanimous decision win. He held the IBO cruiserweight all the way until August 14th, 2015 -- his most recent fight -- when Huck was defeated by Krzysztof Glowacki by 11th-round knockout. He will look to bounce back with a third career victory over Afolabi.

Ola Afolabi is 22-4-4 in his career with 11 knockout victories. Although his record isn’t sparkling, Afolabi has fared very well against other fighters besides Huck. Afolabi won 13 straight bouts against other boxers and claimed the interim WBO cruiserweight title in 2012. He lost two fights ago against Victor Emilio Ramirez for the IBF cruiserweight title but rebounded last time out. Afolabi defeated Rakhim Chakhkiyev on November 4th, 2015, by fifth-round knockout to claim the IBO cruiserweight championship belt.

Afolabi may currently hold the title, but Huck has been a long-time champion at the weight class. Based on his current success against Afolabi, Huck will be the favorite to retain the title in boxing wagering.
