College Baseball Super Regionals Betting

Teams that are fortunate to survive their foursomes in regional play still have one more hurdle to clear in order to reach the College World Series. The Super Regionals are generally gritty affairs, and teams that win Game 1 of the best-of-three series are in good shape but not guaranteed to move one. Winning two games out of three against another one of the best teams in the U.S. is no easy chore, but eight survivors will do so to book their trips to Omaha.

The 2019 NCAA Baseball Super Regionals will run from Friday, June 7 through Monday, June 10. All of the action from the first pitch of the tournament through the last of the College World Series can be found on the ESPN family of networks.

NCAA Baseball Super Regional Format

The 64 teams in the NCAA Tournament are put into 16 brackets of four teams apiece. The teams that host aren't ultimately always the top seeds, but that generally is the case. That's the same story in the Super Regionals as well. For the most part, the top teams are the ones that get to host the de facto Sweet 16, but in the event that neither of the top seeds advance out of their brackets, it's a bidding process for hosting rights.

The only teams that are guaranteed to host Super Regionals should they advance out of their regions are the top eight teams who are seeded one through eight at the outset of the tourney.

The teams that are bracketed together then play in a best two-out-of-three that runs either from Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday. The eight advancing teams move on to Omaha to play in the College World Series and have a shot at the national championship.
