Leiscester-City-vs-Manchester-United-Nov26

You won't find a more surprising team in all of soccer right now than Leicester City. The fact that it is even here in the Premier League is a shock, knowing that it had to go on a huge run at the end of the year just to stay in the top flight. Now, 14 matches into the season, the Foxes are at the top of the table in the top level. Arguably their biggest match in their history comes this Saturday at home against Manchester United.

ODDS ANALYSIS

This isn't necessarily a match which either one of these sides have to have, but both will feel a lot better taking three points from the other. Manchester United would've easily been an odds on favorite in this match two months ago, but now that the Foxes have really turned up the heat, things have changed quite a bit.

The Red Devils are +133 favorites and PK -143 on the Asian Handicap.

The total is fairly average at a flat 2.5.

KEY INJURIES

The Red Devils still have their share of injuries to overcome. Michael Carrick, Luke Shaw and Enner Valencia are all long-term absentees, while Phil Jones is still a question mark with an ankle problem.

Part of the reason Leicester City has been so good this year is because it has stayed healthy. The only man on the injury report right now is Matthew James, and he's been out since the end of last season with a serious knee injury.

QUOTE TO NOTE

"It's going to be a great game. United are one of the giants of world football, and Van Gaal is one of the best coaches in circulation." – Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri on the matchup ahead here with the Red Devils

RECENT FORM

Goal scoring is again a problem for Manchester United, an issue which has plagued it all season long. Louis Van Gaal's side was held to a scoreless draw against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, putting the Red Devils into a huge hole to get out of just to stay alive in Europe's top tournament. Man U did win its previous three matches though, and it is unbeaten in nine straight.

Four straight Premier League matches have gone the way of the Foxes, a stunning turnaround for a team which struggled to beat anyone, let alone everyone in the top flight last year. Leicester City has scored at least two goals in each of its last three as well.

ANALYSIS AND ODDS PREDICTION

Jamie Vardy has scored 13 goals this season, including at least once in 10 straight domestic fixtures. To put Vardy's feat into its proper perspective, Leicester didn't score a goal as a team in 10 straight matches all of last season, and he's done it by himself. He's the best attacking option in this game right now, and he and Shinji Okazaki actually make up the better of the two striker tandems which will be on the field in this match.

King Power Stadium is going to be on fire on Saturday, and the threat of taking down the Red Devils will be huge.

Manchester United is literally going into a hornets nest this weekend, and we don't see it surviving without the ability to really finish off forward thoughts. If the Red Devils don't score early, we think they're going to be in a lot of trouble.

It'll be a banner day for Leicester City, and it'll be the day when Vardy breaks the record for the most consecutive EPL matches finding the back of the net.
