2015-Barclays-Premier-League-Odds

It's hard to think that we're nearly at the halfway point of the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League season. Fifteen of the 38 fixtures are said and done with, and the separation which many forecasted would take place between the big time teams and the rest of the pack hasn't happened quite yet.

That said, there could be a lot of value betting on the teams which are still packed tightly at the top of the table who might not have the same name recognition we're used to from the winners of the BPL.

Manchester City +108 Arsenal +325 Manchester United +433

Liverpool +800

Field (Any Team Not Listed) +1300

Chelsea +5600

Chelsea is clearly the biggest disappointment this year in the Premier League, and it's a wonder how Jose Mourinho still has a job. His Blues are closer to relegation than they are the Champions League, and just getting back in the Top 4 is going to a huge challenge from here. Chelsea entered the weekend a stunning 15 points off of the UCL slots, and it's going to be tough to make that up in just the 23 matches which remain.

For all intents and purposes, there are just six teams, for our money who still have any chance whatsoever to top the Premier League when we get to the end of the term in May. Here's a look at the six and their odds to win the BPL.

Manchester City +108

It's tough not to like the Citizens here. They're just two points back from Leicester City at the top of the table, and they've already been through a number of their really difficult fixtures. Sure, the team was beaten at Stoke City this past weekend, but at least six points should be had in the team's next three duels against Swansea, at Arsenal and home against Sunderland. Manuel Pellegrini's side has gotten healthier in recent weeks, and once Sergio Aguero comes back from his most recent injury, we suspect the Sky Blues will once again be back atop English soccer.

Arsenal +325

Opportunity is knocking for the Gunners in a few weeks when Man City pays its annual visit to the Emirates. The results domestically though, haven't been strong. Arsenal wasn't at its best in a 3-1 win at home against Sunderland, and recent results including a draw against Norwich, a loss at West Brom and a draw at home against hated Tottenham haven't done anything to boost confidence.

Manchester United +433

The Red Devils are having huge problems in attack, but we know that Louis van Gaal is going to get the opportunity to make some changes in January to bring in a striker. It is possible that Cristiano Ronaldo is going to have a Manchester homecoming? If so, that changes the course of the Premier League entirely and, for our money, makes Man U the favorite to win it all even though it is three points back of Leicester.

Liverpool +800

The Reds are still sneaking around at this point, and Jurgen Klopp is clearly going to make them contenders once again in a hurry. Liverpool hits the middle of December on a huge run, having beaten Manchester City at the Ethiad, knocking off Bordeaux in the Europa League, then taming Swansea and thrashing Southampton. Danny Ings' season is over with in all likelihood, but Liverpool has the funds and the right man in charge to make some big changes in January. It's a longshot, but the Reds are still in it.

Tottenham & Leicester City +1300

The Spurs have been notorious for being the fifth or sixth best team in England for quite some time, but there's still some hope for Mauricio Pochettino and crew. The team has only been beaten once all term, and that's kept it right in that comfortable fifth place spot, just seven points off of Leicester City.

Jamie Vardy's streak of consecutive Premier League games with a goal ended at 11, but a 3-0 win at Swansea on Saturday proved that Leicester City is still a force to be reckoned with. The Foxes have the best record in the BPL, not just over the course of the first 15 games of this year, but dating all the way back to last April as well. Heading into April 2015, Leicester was sitting at the foot of the Premier League table, and it needed a huge run just to survive to this year. The Foxes managed to snare 22 points in their last nine matches to get over the hump, and now they've got 32 out of a possible 45 points here in the 2015-16 term. If that keeps up, they've got a shot to make some real magic this season.
