Soccer Odds - Arsenal vs. Tottenham Match Preview

Arsenal-vs.-Tottenham-bm

There aren't many teams in Europe who have a genuine disdain for each other quite like Arsenal and Tottenham. These two teams really can't stand each other, and for years and years, the Gunners have made a sport out of mocking Tottenham supporters for finishing below them on the table. Now though, with both teams firmly entrenched in the Champions League and legitimately fighting for a Premier League championship, this match is going to be the crowning fixture of the English Premier League week.

At 7 a.m. ET, tune into NBC Sports Network for live television coverage of this EPL match on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Emirates Stadium.

Odds Analysis

About the only thing these two teams are separated by at this point is home field advantage. The Gunners are set at -105 on the moneyline, and it's basically a 50/50 proposition as to whether they get three points or not in this one.

Tottenham though, is very live at +305 on the moneyline, and there are going to be a lot of bets on it for sure.

The total of 2.5 and -135 vig on the over is more or less par for the course nowadays in the Premier League in a high-scoring season.

Key Injuries

There are a few long-term injuries the Gunners are dealing with at the moment, including those to Danny Welbeck, Lucas Perez and Per Mertesacker. Santiago Cazorla, a man who was routinely on the injury report last year, suffered what might end up being a bad injury in the Champions League in the middle of the week, and we suspect he won't be in the lineup for quite a while at this point, too. Nacho Monreal was absent against Sunderland last week and was scratched from the UCL match in the middle of the week against Ludogorets as well.

Toby Alderweireld is out for Tottenham with a leg injury, but the bigger problem is to Harry Kane. Kane, the leader of this team, has what could be a crucial injury that could cost him the entire season. That said, the team is being cautious with him while still testing him in training to try to get him back on the pitch as soon as possible. Worse now too, could be the injury to Moussa Dembele. We're not sure what's wrong with him yet as of the writing of this article, we doubt that he plays after he was taken off against Bayer Leverkusen on just Wednesday. Now toss in the Erik Lamela hip injury that kept him out of the fold against the German side and Moussa Sissoko being in the midst of a three-match ban, and my, are there problems in London.

Recent Form

Mauricio Pochettino has a lot of questions surrounding his job right now after losing to Beyer Leverkusen at home on Wednesday. That's now six straight matches without a win, but as we demonstrated earlier, this isn't at all Poch's fault with all of the absentees he's had to deal with.

Arsenal has been putting some goals in the back of the net quite a bit of late. The Gunners didn't put their best foot forward against Ludogorets on Wednesday on the road, but they did get their three points. They did the same against Sunderland in a 4-1 victory and a 2-0 triumph in the Capital One Cup against Reading before that.

Free Soccer Betting Pick

Arsenal knows that the time is here to take advantage of a downed Tottenham side. The Gunners are clearly the superior team, even with all of the problems they've had, but they're a deeper team, and they're certainly a team that is in better form.

Tottenham will have its say when these two teams meet later in the season, but here at the Emirates, there just shouldn't be a shot for it to get anything of note.

EPL Odds: Arsenal 2, Tottenham 0
