ODDS ANALYSIS

Germany is a comfortable one-goal favorite on the Asian Handicap in this match against Poland, and it probably deserves to be. Sure, the match against Ukraine wasn't a work of art for the most part, but even on a day when the offense wasn't at its best, Joachim Low's side was able to get three points.

Totals in Euro 2016 have been relatively low across the board, but this match is a tremendous exception to that rule. The number to beat is set at nearly a flat three.

TOURNAMENT UPDATE

Poland really looked threatening for a good chunk of the match against Northern Ireland to open up group stage play. The Poles didn't get Robert Lewandowski in on target much, but they did have a lot of time in the attacking third and possessed the ball for 60 percent of the time. That's not the ratio they'll end up with in this one, but if they can get anywhere near 50/50 against one of the best sides in the world, they'll be thrilled.

The end result of a 1-0 victory was probably selling Poland just a bit short, but in fairness, three points is all that truly matters.

Germany needed to really work hard to take care of business against Ukraine. The 2-0 score line wasn't fair to the Ukrainians for sure, but the Germans will argue that they were always the better side from the moment that Shkodran Mustafi found the back of the net just inside of 20 minutes.

LIVE BETTING

You can say what you want about the German attack, but if they get great goaltending out of Manuel Neuer as they did against Ukraine, they're going to win a lot of matches. Germany's goalie is going to be the key cog in this match as well. It's only a matter of time until Lewandowski gets loose and has an opportunity, but if Neuer continues to make himself big and charge aggressively when needed, it's going to be really tough for Poland to put one in the back of the net.

However, if you really think Germany is going to be able to finish this match off in fine order, at some point, Mario Gotze, Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil are going to have to come up big. These three men were relatively silent against Ukraine and cannot be this quiet against Poland.

QUICK PICK

Germany is going to learn its lesson from that match in Warsaw in qualifying. Lewandowski, who so many of these men know playing together at Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, is one of the most dangerous strikers in the world, and there can't be any mistakes against him.

Still, the total in this match is set properly. If you're a believer in Lewandowski getting one home as we think is the case, Germany is going to need to strike twice to win. We think it'll do that and then some against a Polish defense which isn't going to see this blitzkrieg coming after the easy match it had to open Euro 2016 against Northern Ireland.

Euro 2016 Odds: Germany 4, Poland 1
