If the first match day in Group A was any indication, we're going to see a heck of a few months of soccer in this foursome. Arsenal and PSG are the teams that absolutely should be going through to the knockout rounds, and their opening offering against the other ended in a draw. Now, the two teams separate for the first time in Champions League action, and both will be expected to snare all three points. Arsenal though, has a very tough challenge against FC Basel, a team that has a history of getting out of the first round of competition in the Champions League in the past and won't go quietly. PSG has to go out on the road to take on FK Ludogorets, but that shouldn't be all that much of an issue for a team that is favored by a pair of goals.

Group B is probably the weakest of these four groups, but at least for now, it has the look of being the most open as well. Napoli, the Italian surprise from last year, has three points under its belt with a big road win against Dynamo Kiev to kick off group play, and if it can get three points against Benfica at home on Wednesday night, it will be well on its way to the knockout rounds of this tournament. In the other matchup, it's definitely make or break time for Kiev. Leaving a second straight match without any points is going to be brutal to try to come back from, but Besiktas is no easy place to play this time of year for sure.

There's really not much of a question what's going to happen in Group C. Barcelona and Manchester City stormed to victories over Celtic and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively. Now, the two behemoths of this group are squaring off against the other minnow that they didn't beat up last week. Celtic, a 7-0 loser to Barca originally, now has to host Manchester City, while Borussia Monchengladbach, who lost 4-0 on English soil, now gets to host Barcelona. Though both minnows have a greater chance now than they did in their initial offerings on the road, neither match is expected to end well for the hosts.

Group D remains interesting due to the fact that Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid do have some company in the form of PSV Eindhoven. The Dutch side is overmatched for sure, but it was unlucky not to get a result against Atletico Madrid in its first match in the UCL. The task gets easier this week at FC Rostov, but that match figures to be a must-win to have any chance of ultimately advancing. The Spanish side will meet with Bayern Munich in the biggest clash of the second match day of UCL play this week. If there's a winner in this duel, it will surely set that team apart from the rest of Group D and likely make the rest of qualifying for the knockout rounds a cinch.
