Soccer Odds - Champions League Preview for Wednesday, December 7

2016-Soccer-Champions-League-Wednesday-Betting-Lines

There really isn't a heck of a lot left to determine in the bottom half of the Champions League table, but these games in the UCL mean a ton to the players on the pitch. The competition is always going to be fierce no matter whether it's the first or the last match in the group stage, and bettors will have a great opportunity to cash some big bets in these matches on the last day before the knockout rounds begin.

These Champions League duels will go down Wednesday, December 7, 2016, with most of the kickoffs taking place at 2:45 p.m. ET. The Lyon/Sevilla match will be televised live on ESPN2, while the Tottenham/CSKA Moscow affair can be seen on FOX Sports 2.

Champions League Odds at BookMaker.eu

Lyon ( +155 ) vs. Sevilla

Club Brugge ( +270 ) vs. FC Copenhagen

Juventus ( -740 ) vs. Dinamo Zagreb

FC Porto ( -260 ) vs. Leicester City

Legia Warsaw ( +340 ) vs. Sporting Lisbon

Bayer Leverkusen ( -120 ) vs. AS Monaco

Real Madrid ( -125 ) vs. Borussia Dortmund

Tottenham ( -190 ) vs. CSKA Moscow

AS Monaco has done a fantastic job this year in the Champions League. The French side has 11 points in five matches in Group E, and that's good enough to win this foursome. What made this so impressive is the fact that this group really was stacked. Bayer Leverkusen has lived to tell about this as well and will finish second best.

The only question, in fact, is whether Tottenham or CSKA Moscow will go on to the Europa League or not. This is a big deal for Mauricio Pochettino. He really doesn't want the Spurs to bow out of European competition before the start of the new year, and that requires getting at least a point out of this match. That said, the Spurs are the overwhelming favorites in this one at -190 on the moneyline, and they should at least get their point to get the job done.

Real Madrid is in a really tough spot here in Group F. Borussia Dortmund has had a good season in Germany and has really played well in this group, posting a perfect 4-0-0 mark against the rest of this group aside from Real Madrid. The match against Los Blancos ended in a very productive draw, and if Dortmund can do the same in this one, it'll win this group and relegate Real Madrid to second best. That said, Real is the -125 favorite on the moneyline and really should win this match. If it does, it'll finish first, while Borussia Dortmund will be second.

Sporting Lisbon and Legia Warsaw will play for a spot in the Europa League as the third place finisher in Group F. Warsaw is -16 thus far in goal differential and has just one point in the five previous fixtures.

Leicester City has already won Group G and probably isn't going to care a whole heck of a lot about this match against FC Porto. The Portuguese side though, needs this match. FC Copenhagen has six points and has to go on the road and play Club Brugge on Wednesday. If the Danes win this match, Porto will have to get at least a point to finish second and advance in the UCL.

Juventus has already done the job in a really tough Group H to advance, but it has some work left to do here to win it as well. Beating Dinamo Zagreb though, shouldn't be tough. The Croatian side has yet to score a goal and doesn't have a point in the first five matches in the UCL.

But the big match will pit Sevilla against Lyon. If there is a winner of this match, that winner will move on to the Round of 16 while the loser will end up in the Europa League. If these two teams draw, the Spanish side will advance for the first time in five straight tries in the UCL group stage.
