Horse Racing Odds and Schedule for This Weekend

Horse Racing Odds and Schedule for This Week!

Fingers are crossed that Gulfstream Park will be able to go on Saturday as it features one of the best horse racing cards of the entire year. Highlighting what is supposed to be a phenomenal day of racing is the Grade 1 Florida Derby, which includes a purse of $750,000. Normally the Florida Derby is a key indicator as to which horses are in line to make the cut for the Kentucky Derby. But with the Run for the Roses postponed until September due to COVA-19, that may change, at least somewhat. But the quality of the Florida Derby itself remains elite and it is the biggest race of the entire weekend.

While sports gambling is still on hold, countless gamblers have flocked to our racebook for continuous action. Make sure to check it out all weekend and enjoy the wide variety of wagering options that are available. Newcomers to the horse racing scene have found it spellbinding!

Florida Derby Top Contenders

Assuming that Gulfstream Park will be able to get the Florida Derby in on Saturday it is scheduled with a post time of 6:36 p.m. ET.

Tiz the Law has opened as a 6/5 favorite and is best known for wining the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes. However, he finished a disappointing third in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club after that. But he rebounded well with a win in his last start at the Grade 3 Holy Bull.

Another top favorite will be Ete Indien who is currently at 4/1. A second-place finish in the Grade 2 Holy Bull Stakes both impressed because he led and disappointed because he failed to hold the lead at the end, finishing second. Ete Indien gained a lot of respect in his last start which was a win in the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth.

Gouverneur Morris is an 8/1 choice and showed good capability with a second-place finish in the Grade 1 Breeders Cup Futurity.
