For the very first time, the Barclays Center will host an NHL playoff game on Sunday when the New York Islanders and Florida Panthers hope to take a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven series.

ODDS ANALYSIS

The Panthers don't have the greatest playoff pedigree, but they definitely have the respect of the oddsmakers. Florida was a -150 favorite in Game 1, and when it was beaten in that first game, it was bumped up to -160 for Game 2.

The Isles will surely be the favored side in Game 3, but the margin probably won't be all that high. Let's not forget that the Panthers won 22 games on the road this year.

GOALIE REPORT

Both goalies had significantly better statistical nights on Friday than they had on Thursday, and that was awfully impressive considering the fact that both had to play without a day of rest.

For our money, Thomas Greiss has been the better of the two goalies in this series. Sure, he allowed four goals in Game 1 and took the loss in Game 2, but the Panthers have had some tremendous shots against the backup.

Roberto Luongo though, had a massive game on Friday night. He would've been forgiven for allowing three or four goals against the 42 shots he faced, but the fact that he gave up just a goal to John Tavares late in the third was a huge testament to how awesome he was on that night.

Luongo doesn't have a great playoff history as has been well-documented, but here in Florida, he's been given a lot more latitude than he had in Vancouver when the media was on his case with every mistake he made.

LIVE BETTING

The Panthers have scored in every period of this series, a tremendous accomplishment this time of year. Reilly Smith has been the best player of the bunch with three goals and two helpers, but he's not nearly alone. Considering the fact that we've only played two games thus far in this series, seeing six different goal scorers and 10 different men with at least one point is a great accomplishment.

The longest period of time Florida has gone without a goal is just over 25 minutes, and that absolutely has to change if the Isles are going to ultimately win this series.

QUICK PICK

Even though the Islanders had a ton of shots in Game 2, they really didn't manufacture quality attempts like Florida did.

We haven't really seen Jaromir Jagr put his stamp on this series yet, and we wonder if he's set to do that on the road in Brooklyn.

Kyle Okposo and Tavares have both been brilliant for New York, but the rest of this team hasn't done it for us. Greiss is set to have a game where he looks overmatched at this level, and this might be the best spot for it to happen.

If the Panthers are anything beyond about +110 or so, we'll certainly pounce, as we think they're winning this game more often than not, even on the road.

NHL Odds: Florida 5, New York 2
