LSU Tigers at Florida Gators CFB Betting

The Florida Gators appear to be at their best level since Urban Meyer was coach. Current third year coach Dan Mullen was Meyer’s offensive coordinator back in those days of glory. Since his return improvement has been rapid. Texas A&M’s College football betting upset of Florida on Saturday was a notable exception. By contrast the LSU Tigers are a collapsing power. New defensive coordinator Bo Pelini has been getting schooled by more creative offensive minds. While LSU was never going to duplicate their perfect 2019 season nobody saw this coming!

LSU Tigers at Florida Gators Bookmaker Wagering Analysis

This Saturday LSU lacks public appeal due to their inept defense. Meanwhile Florida has gambling cache at the Swamp.

LSU Defense Says No Bo!

LSU lost 45-41 Saturday at Missouri as 14-point road chalks as the game went over the total of 52. The Bayou Bengals are 1-2 straight up and against the spread with two overs. Offensively LSU ranks 17th overall and for scoring. Of major concern is a defense that ranks 71st overall and 52nd for points allowed. Mizzou’s win was shockingly dominant as they outgained LSU 586-479. So too did Missouri overcome three turnovers.

New defensive coordinator Bo Pelini is getting all the blame. LSU coach Ed Orgeron personally recruited Pelini after Dave Aranda departed to become head coach at Baylor. Pelini is remembered as defensive coordinator for LSU’s 2007 national championship team. But times have dramatically changed since then. Orgeron himself said the loss at Mizzou was all on the defense.

Gators Ambushed at Aggies

Florida was ambushed at Texas A&M 41-38 as 6-point road chalks with over the total of 59.5 paying too. Now Florida is 2-1 straight up, 1-2 against the spread and 3-0 over the total. UF’s offense ranks 18th overall and eight for scoring. Defensively the Gators rank 72nd overall and 58th for points allowed.

Florida’s defense was torched for 543 yards by the Aggies. Texas A&M converted 12 out of 15 third down conversions and held a 32-22 first down advantage. Florida quarterback Kyle Trask threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns. Trask has a 196.0 rating with 14 touchdown passes and one interception this season.
