The team to beat in Europe is G2. G2’s experiment of moving mid laner Perkz to become the team’s starting AD Carry has paid off tremendously, as they are 6-0 with this current lineup. Bottom lane was the weak spot for G2 all throughout 2018 with Hjarnan needing to play Heimerdinger in order to have real success, so moving Perkz down into the position made the team stronger in the bottom lane and allowed G2 to sign star mid laner Caps. They have shown no signs of slowing down and are the only undefeated team left in Europe, but they have a tough match against 5-1 Team Vitality on Friday. ... 

The second week of the NA LCS Spring Split kicks off on Saturday, and Team Liquid is looking to continue its dominance. Liquid won both split titles last year, and they are the odds-on favorites to win yet again this season. They looked every part the team to beat last weekend, beating both Cloud9 and Counter Logic Gaming to start off 2-0. However, they had some issues in the early game, and teams will be looking to punish that this week.... 

Can the reigning Kings of Europe finally get their first win of the season? That’s the big question entering the third week of the rebranded LEC this weekend. Fnatic was the best team in Europe for all of 2018. They won the Spring Split and the Summer Split, and they outlasted G2 at Worlds by making it all the way to the finals. Every region will finally be in action when the NA LCS starts their season on Saturday. The season starts with a bang as the two best teams from last year meet up in the very first match of the Spring Split. Team Liquid won both split championships last year, knocking off Cloud9 on their way to the first double in the organization’s history. However, it was Cloud9 that was the best performing North American team at Worlds, making it to the semifinals.... 

Coming into the season, the three favorites to win the first LEC Spring Split were Fnatic, G2 Esports, and Misfits. While two of the three took care of business and are tied in first place at 2-0 after the first week of play, Fnatic struggled mightily in losses to SK Gaming and Origen. Two teams have dominated European League of Legends since the start of league play back in 2013. The LCK and all Korean League of Legends fans are hoping that this year will be a year of redemption. Korea dominated the international scene from 2013 to 2017, and they were expected to do the same in 2018. KINGZONE DragonX, Gen. G, and SK Telecom T1 were the three favorites to win the World Championship at the start of the year, and Korea was an odds-on favorite to be host to the winning team at Worlds for a sixth straight year.... 

Last year, China showed that they were the best region when it came to League of Legends. Royal Never Give Up won the Mid-Season Invitational, the LPL won Rift Rivals over the LCK and LMS, and Invictus Gaming won the region its first World Championship. The only CS:GO team anyone is talking about heading into the CS:GO BLAST Pro Series in Lisbon is Astralis. The Call of Duty World League will have their first major tournament since the release of the popular game Black Ops IIII this weekend in Las Vegas. For the first time in the country’s history, Malta will host a major Esports event next weekend. The shooter has been around longer than any other Esport, and as such there are always a variety of tournaments going on. The 14^th annual BlizzCon will be the site of the Overwatch World Cup Finals. Teams from eight different countries will duke it out to see who is the best in the world in Anaheim this weekend. This is the third Overwatch World Cup, and South Korea has won each of the previous two events. In 2016, the Koreans didn’t drop a single map on the way to the title, but they were a bit more vulnerable last year. Chinese League of Legends fans around the world are hoping that the eighth time is a charm. Five teams from Korea, one team from Taiwan, and one team from Europe have won the previous seven League of Legends World Championships, but no Chinese team has ever won the Summoner’s Cup. Invictus Gaming are looking to change that and bring China its first title, but Fnatic are standing in their way. Fnatic were the lone EU team to win it all, claiming the first Summoner’s Cup back in 2011, and they are aiming to shock the world and win their second.
