The three big favorites to win Worlds all hail from Korea and are unsurprisingly atop the standings most of the way through the third week of action. How are Galio and Zac still played in some matches?

The two most overpowered champions since the Summer Split started are Galio and Zac. Both received nice buffs in between seasons and teams have been taking advantage.

In most matches, both are banned out pretty quickly. The problem has come when one team decides to target ban against another and allow one or the both of them to be selected.

The win rate for both of these champions is enormous. Zac is an engage machine that is nearly impossible to stop with his current buffs. He makes up ground better than any champion and there have been numerous times where a player doesn’t see Zac coming until it is too late.

Galio has gotten through pick and ban more often and is almost as broken as Zac. Galio was being played in the top lane and at the AD Carry slot, but Faker showed how best to play it. Faker was selecting Galio for the mid lane almost every time it was available. Galio is a tank that can suck up damage from an opponent and also has the range for long engages.

Samsung vs. KT Rolster

This was the most hyped series of the week. People were wondering just how good Samsung were after their upset victory over SKT back in their first series of the season. Samsung was able to take it to three games, but allowed Zac to get through in Game 1 and Galio to get through in Game 3.

Unsurprisingly, KT snapped up both with their first pick. They ended up dominating Samsung for a combined 40 kills against just six deaths in that series. Although there was sharp individual play, failing in the pick and ban was just too much to overcome.

The play of Smeb in this series’ deciding game was amazing. He showed once again why many consider him the best top laner in the world and crushed CuVee. He went 9-0-4 on Renekton in the deciding game and impacted the game even more than Galio did.

Who will be relegated?

The good news is that there are no winless teams anymore in Korea. The bad news is that there are four teams that only have one win and are in trouble.

One of those teams, Ever8 Winners, was expected. They had just moved up from Challenger and seeing them struggle against the next level of competition was in line. However, the three teams that are tied with them are head scratchers.

MVP and bbq OLIVERS were two of the surprise stories of last season. MVP finished in fourth place overall, knocking off the Afreeca Freecs in the postseason. Meanwhile, bbq held on to stay just out of the relegation zone, but was expected to perform much better this split.

The ROX Tigers nearly made the playoffs last year despite fielding a brand new team. They decided to rebuild from the ground up and are now hoping they didn’t rush too fast.
