League of Legends - North America LCS NA Betting

eSports-Coverage-07-21-bm

North America is no longer the laughing stock of the major regions. After very disappointing performances at both Worlds and the Mid-Season Invitational, Rift Rivals announced that North America was decisively better than Europe. Even lightweight Phoenix1 that sits at 3-9 in the North American Summer Split standings was better than the best teams in Europe, sweeping both G2 and Unicorns of Love. However, the amazing part of is that the three North American teams that went to Rift Rivals are a combined 18-18 in domestic play this split. This region is getting stronger by the week.

There’s currently a three-way tie at the top of the standings this split. Counter Logic Gaming, Team SoloMid, and Immortals all find themselves at 9-3 with a two-game lead on every other team. CLG and Immortals play each other in a match that will have huge implications on the standings, while TSM has a tricky match against Team Dignitas.

CLG -120
Immortals -120

Other than a loss to Envy, Immortals has played extremely well this season. Yes, they lost to both TSM and Phoenix1 two weeks ago after the two teams came back from Rift Rivals, but those teams got the benefit of quality games in a new meta.

Pobelter has made a name for himself as one of the best mid-laners in North America. He has the third-highest KDA of any mid-laner in the region this split, only behind Jensen and Bjergsen, and has been dominant in team fights lately. He has been especially good on Corki, a champion that teams typically don’t ban out due to the presence of other strong mid-lane champions.

CLG is not the ghost of a team we saw in Spring 2017 and Summer 2016. This team was notorious for losing to lesser competition, but has not dropped a series to a team with a losing record yet this split, taking care of business against all of the bad teams. They have already swept Cloud9 and are now gunning for a first-round bye, but have yet to beat either TSM or Immortals.

Darshan has been fantastic in the top lane for CLG. Unlike other teams who select tank champions as top-laners and hope to just go even in the lane, Darshan likes to be aggressive. It usually works too, as Darshan has a higher KDA than any other top-laner in North America and has racked up 30 more kills than the second-closest top-laner. His match-up with Flame will be what to watch in this series.

TSM -200
Team Dignitas +150

TSM gives North America hope that this could be the season that they have a team that goes far at Worlds. After a disappointing MSI, TSM was dominant at Rift Rivals and swept the Unicorns of Love in the finals. This team is finally starting to click and the play of Svenskeren has been huge.

Svenskeren is typically seen as the weak link of TSM now that WildTurtle is no longer on the roster. Although he can be a little too risky with his invades at times, he has been fantastic recently and has played a big part in this team’s success. His ganks have helped his lanes get off to big leads and have led to the team snowballing games.

Dignitas has been very up and down this season. This is one of the two teams that dropped a series to Team Liquid and they have also lost to Envy and FlyQuest. However, Dignitas has shown a propensity to step it up against the best with wins over CLG and TSM too.

The top lane will be the focus for Dignitas as Ssumday is the best player on the team. His play mirrors that of the team with his ups and downs, but there’s no denying his talent. He could have a big game against TSM’s Hauntzer who tends to struggle against quality top-laners.
