League of Legends - 2017 Mid-Season Invitational Betting

eSports-Coverage-05-12-bm

Through two days of the group stage of MSI, what we knew coming into the tournament is clear, SK Telecom T1 is the best team in the world. SKT is the only team with a winning record, in addition to being the only undefeated team, and has only had a few small hiccups in their dominant run over the competition. They have shown they can play a hyper aggressive style kill-first style, build for a long game, or play their traditional controlled slow grind that smothers opponents. The main question seems to be who will end up as No. 2 at MSI and Day 3’s Group Stage games will help determine that.

G2 -185

Team SoloMid +160

The first match between the champions of Europe and the champions of North America has a lot of importance this time around. TSM is 1-3 coming into Day 3 and in desperate need of a win considering they are on the outside looking in for the semifinals. WildTurtle has gotten a lot of the blame for the team’s troubles, but top laner Hauntzer’s poor play has hurt this team more than anything. Even on his traditional tank picks, he has had trouble against his counterparts in this tournament. Look for G2 to get the victory here.

SK Telecom T1 -315

Flash Wolves +260

This is the game that we all have been waiting for. Flash Wolves went 3-1 against SKT last year and twice provided a blueprint for how to knock off the defending champions. Although they had a tough start to the tournament, going 0-2 in Day 1, they looked like they flipped a switch during their game against Gigabyte Marines in Day 2. Karsa has been fantastic in the jungle and if any team is going to beat SKT at MSI, it’s going to be Flash Wolves.

World Elite -595

Gigabyte Marines +455

World Elite made their mark in China on being kings in the late game. Since coming to MSI, they have shown that they can pull ahead before the 20-minute mark as well. World Elite was the team that gave SKT its biggest scare so far and 957 has showed that he is not the weak link in the top lane that many experts thought him to be. Teams are starting to ban Kled away from him after some dominant performances on the charging champion and the battle between him and Stark should be a good one. WE’s style should blunt the Marines’ early aggression and get the Chinese side the win.

Flash Wolves -150

G2 +130

When these teams met on Day 1, Flash Wolves controlled the run of play for most of the game, but some questionable builds compounded with their inability to extend their lead led to a surprise loss. Give credit to G2 for coming back and getting the victory, but Flash Wolves won’t make the same mistake. Their earlier loss makes the Flash Wolves undervalued and one of the best bets of Day 3.

SK Telecom T1 -1900

Gigabyte Marines +1000

The initial showdown between these two teams was action packed with SKT deciding to play the Gigabyte Marines’ game and match them kill for kill early on. SKT showed that they are the best in the world playing this style as well, but should play a more controlled style in this game. For Gigabyte Marines to have a chance, they have to ban Lee Sin. SKT are undefeated in 2017 with Peanut on the blind monk and his ability to gank on the champion is unparalleled.

World Elite -180

Team SoloMid +155

WE would be a much bigger favorite here, but were the one team that fell to TSM so far at MSI. The difference in this game was all about the top lane matchup. Hauntzer and Svenskeren teamed up on 957 in the top lane time and time again and Hauntzer ended the game with a 6k gold lead on his rival. WE will be able to adjust this time around and get the victory.
