2017-eSports-Coverage-Betting-Odds-Online

This weekend the Quarterfinals will kick off in North America as Phoenix1 takes on Dignitas and Counter Logic Gaming squares off against FlyQuest. Both quarterfinals matches should be pretty tight as when they played in the regular season, the opposing sides not only won a match each, but finished tied in total games won as well. On the line will be championship points and prize money with the winners of these quarterfinals matches guaranteeing themselves at least $20,000 and 30 championship points while the losers receive no prize money and earn just 10 championship points.

Phoenix1 vs. Dignitas

It’s been a hugely disappointing year for Dignitas after making such a big splash in the offseason. Dignitas brought over Ssumday and Chaser from Korea and then added LOD to its roster to form what was considered a burgeoning superpower in North America, but was unable to find much success finishing at 9-9 overall and 22-22 in individual games.

Keane was considered one of the top mid-laners in North America this season, being named MVP 9 times. He finished the season with a 3.7 KDA, but was a step behind the players considered the best at the position in North America, Bjergsen and Jensen. Where Dignitas does have an advantage is in the top lane with Ssumday. Although zig has gotten the better of him in some individual games, Ssumday is more talented and has played on the big stage before.

Phoenix1 has withstood a lot of adversity this season on its way to the No. 3 seed in North America. P1 saw starting jungler Inori leave in Week 5 and that was followed up by support player Adrian abandoning the team for Team Liquid two weeks later. This team has survived in spite of the losses with AD Carry Arrow being the big reason why.

Arrow registered the best KDA a North American AD Carry had by a wide margin. He finished the season with a 5.3 KDA, the next closest mark was a 4.2 KDA, and had a kill participation rate over 70 to boot. Warding is a big part of his game and why he will have the edge over his counterpart LOD in this series.

CLG vs. FlyQuest

If you simply look at individual statistics, it’s a pretty big surprise to see that CLG finished fourth in North America. No individual laner finished in the top five in their position in KDA as this team simply relied on their ability to play together late and win crucial objectives to win matches.

The bottom lane play has been especially lackluster from CLG this season. Aphromoo is one of the more popular players in North America, but his play hasn’t been up to standard while Stixxay has found himself out of position and died too many times because of it. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that FlyQuest can really take advantage of.

Altec was a solid AD Carry for FlyQuest ths year, but LemonNation has proven to be just a stopgap. The long-time Cloud9 member came out of retirement to join FlyQuest just before the season started and looks to be a few moves slower than the other support players in North America. That puts the onus on Fly to win in other areas.

Fly must win the mid-lane battle if it is going to knock off CLG. Hai doesn’t have the best KDA, but delivers huge amounts of damage and can outperform Huhi in their duel. However, Fly has fallen apart, losing eight of its last 11, and hasn’t defeated another playoff team since Week 4.
