2016-eSports-Update-Betting-Odds

It’s all down to this. North America and Europe are holding their League of Legends Finals and Third-Place matches this weekend and there’s a lot of money at stake as well as Championship Points needed to qualify for Worlds. Which teams will emerge victorious and claim greater prize pools and possibly get to Worlds? We’ll find out this weekend.

EUROPE

H2K Gaming -220

Unicorns of Love +170

H2K is the favorite here by way of a strong postseason. The multi-national side wiped the floor with a reeling Fnatic team in the quarterfinals, before taking Splyce to a fifth game in the semi-finals. Their hot streak is largely due to the return of former player FORG1VEN. FORG1VEN can be a hassle to put up with, but his skills are hard to argue with. His CS per minute is the highest on H2K, and tied for the highest of any player in the playoffs.

Unicorns of Love is just happy to be here at this point. As the last team in the playoffs, they weren’t expected to get past Giants in the quarterfinals, but did just that. UoL was a bit erratic in the regular season and showed the ability to compete with anyone in Europe, but also had the potential to lose to anyone on the continent just as easily.

G2 -250

Splyce +200

G2 was the best team in Europe in the regular season and will look to win its second straight European title. G2 cruised by Origen in the Spring Playoffs and walked over Unicorns of Love in the semi-finals. Zven is playing like the best player in all of Europe right now and had a KDA and a CS per minute of 10 in the series against UoL. For Splyce to have a chance, Kobbe must find a way to neutralize him.

It’s really hard to believe that Splyce made it to the Summer Playoff Finals after an awful Spring Split. Just a few months back, Splyce was in a Promotion battle to stay in LCS Europe and now the team is one series away from being crowned champions. An upset win over G2 would be one of the greatest Cinderella stories in League of Legends history.

NORTH AMERICA

Immortals -250

CLG +200

How motivated is Immortals to win third-place here? The team has to be devastated after not dropping a match to any team in the regular season outside of TSM and there’s a question of whether or not the squad will be properly motivated. Immortals has one of the best players in North America in Reignover though, and if he is playing well, they will have a strong chance to win.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. After turning it on to beat arch-rivals TSM in the Spring Playoffs, CLG sputtered in the Summer Split and then was routed by TSM in the semi-finals last week. CLG completely collapsed under the cohesive teamwork of TSM, but that may have highlighted just how good TSM is rather than a reflection of CLG. This team is a very live dog against Immortals here.

Team SoloMid -420

Cloud9 +270

TSM has looked like the best team outside of Asia for months now and it will take the game of their lives for Cloud9 to upset them. TSM finished the regular season 17-1 and then slaughtered CLG to get to the North American Finals. The chemistry they have been showing is unparalleled and the star power is enough to make many believe this team has a shot to win at Worlds.

Cloud9 pulled off a stunner when they knocked off Immortals, but that was a perfect storm of an effort. Sneaky has been playing out of his mind recently, but will face an ADC that can counter his sharp movements in Doublelift. Anything other than a 3-0 sweep for TSM here will be a moral victory for Cloud9.
