NBA Odds - Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers Game Preview

NBA-Finals-Game-4-bm

The teams will face off in Game 4 in Cleveland, and it’s fair to wonder if the Cavs have anything left in the tank. Kevin Durant hit a clutch 3-pointer in the final minute as Golden State stole Game 3 to take a 3-0 lead in the series.

While the Cavs do once again have the home court advantage, there is little reason to believe they will have the type of comeback they did last season to win the title after being down 3-1 in the series. The Warriors are going to be road favorites once again as they aim to sweep Cleveland and go an astounding 16-0 in the postseason.

This series will continue on Friday, June 9, 2017, at 9 p.m. ET at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The game will be televised live on ABC.

NBA Odds

The opening line had the Warriors at two-point favorites and the number swelled to 3.5 points by tipoff. It looked like the Cavs were bound to both cover and pay off on the moneyline, but the Warriors rallied late for a 118-113 win. Golden State covered for the third straight time in this series and is listed as a six-point favorite in Game 4.

The scoring total for the game is listed at 228.5 points, while the Warriors are -240 on the moneyline and Cleveland is the +204 underdog.

Golden State is 82-15 straight up and 51-42-4 against the spread on the season. The Warriors have gone 26-21-1 against the spread on the road this season and they are 49-41-4 as the favorite.

The Cavaliers are 63-35 straight up and 43-51-4 against the spread. Cleveland has gone 21-25-2 against the spread and has covered in only five of 18 attempts as the underdog.

Last Time Out

The Cavaliers used a big third quarter to take control and seemed poised to pull within 2-1 in the series. However, Golden State ended on an 11-0 run to pick up the win. Durant hit a go-ahead three-pointer late in the contest and then the Warriors locked down defensively in Cleveland’s final possessions.

Klay Thompson was a huge key, finishing with 30 points while knocking down 6-of-11 three-pointers. Durant added 31 points and eight assists while Stephen Curry had 26 points and 13 rebounds.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving were fantastic for the Cavaliers. James had 39 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists while Irving added 38 points and six boards. However, Irving missed a shot which could have taken the lead back in the final minute.

Player To Watch

With one more good game, Durant will wrap up the NBA Finals MVP. He has averaged 34.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 blocks over the three games while shooting very well from the field and from downtown.

There was plenty of negative reaction when Durant decided to sign with the Warriors in the offseason, as critics didn’t think he should join such a good team. However, he is on his way to the ring he wanted, and Durant is playing a huge role.

If he didn’t hit the three-pointer this series would probably still be in doubt.

Free NBA ATS Pick

The Warriors are going to put the finishing touches on one of the most memorable seasons in NBA history. An undefeated postseason run has never been accomplished, and even though this game is on the road, Golden State is favored to do so.

The Cavs gave it their all in Game 3 and still lost. The energy might not be there now that they know the series is all but over. Take Golden State to win and cover for the fourth straight time in this series.

NBA Odds: Warriors 119, Cavaliers 110
